TGIF EYE CANDY FRIDAY

A friend was telling me this week that when a major insurance firm moved it's offices from New York to Florida, the dress code was "suit and tie" without exception.

Within three months, Fridays became "dressy casual" until the month of May when "dressy casual" became acceptable five days per week. By the end of June, the dress code became "casual" with no jeans, tee shirts, tank tops, sneakers or flip flops allowed.

I work for a not-for-profit organization with 1200 employees whose dress code thankfully, is similar to the one above. In 95 degree heat, going to work in dress shorts, polo shirts and casual shoes is a welcomed alternative to the suit and tie!

To those of you who have the luxury of a two day weekend, I will once again be working Saturday. While I continue with a double case load of clients pending the hire of an additional case manager/social worker, the only opportunity I have to complete documentation is on Saturdays. The presently vacant position will be filled within the next two weeks by one of two finalists. Not soon enough for me!

Here's hoping the additional help gets hired soon!

In my years in the concrete jungle, they only had casual on Fridays, and most of the time, people didn't do casual as they had meetings outside of the office.

I think they need to put air vents in men's suits so certain areas can breathe :)

Oh, when you have a moment Don, can you drop me a note please and thank you.

Love as always (today was my final day at work). I'm kind of relieved but strangely in limbo!!

First of all I wish you a Saturday as pleasant as possible, dear friend! Working six days a week in the wet heat is no joke!
Good for you! You've just stolen Leone's monopoly of Asia! Lol! Markets need competition! (Did I learn my lesson well? Lol!)
As to dress codes in warm countries and/ or seasons, the least fabrics on you the better!...
Now don't you go thinking I am all for people going naked to work, okay? Lol! In some cases it would be a tremendous desaster, I know...
But in some other...
Hugs! :-)
